Here's the definition:
A photolithography machine used to expose a pattern on a wafer by shining light through a reticle (a glass plate containing a pattern etched in chrome).

Is the stepper not a device (incl. possibly part of your machine) that exposes the photosensitive material (film, paper, photoresist) in steps? The steps can be spatial (the material is moved in steps between exposures) or illumination steps.

neutral Eynati : See my question to Doron. I know steppers in the form described above, hence pe'imot may well be relevant, but I think clarification would help. Adding the Eng on 1st occurrence should suffice, IMO.
