Discussion

Drmanu49 Apr 19, 2006:
I really think that you are dealing with rigidity and/or electrodes. But I don't see how needles would fit in here!
Tony M Apr 19, 2006:
Pourrait-il s'agir en effet de 'spline' --- j'en ai vu des catheters comme ça.... ?

I'm guessing that at the tip of a catheter, these would be needles.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : I would be very surprised if they would use a catheter with needles at the tip / I don't think you pierce the skin with a catheter do you -- isn't that a 'canula'? I just had a splined one fitted :-(

'Spline' looks like it might well be right - I've never come across that word before./Canula or cannula would be the flexible tube - the tip is a trocar - but to me it looks like a needle ;-) And: owie. :-(
disagree Drmanu49 : I think this concerns rigidity and not needles
