Forthcoming PC generations are expected to alleviate power consumption at the desktop, which is significant in enterprise campus settings.
Over the course of one year, a 17" LCD monitor can offer savings of 120,000 watts as compared with a 19" CRT. In a campus setting, where an enterprise could have as many as 6,000 screens, 720 million watts per year could be saved annually.

Settings can also be translated as arrangement but cadre I believe is closer to that specific use of settings.
