English term

Its construction was later than that of that of its neighbor

English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
It was, predictably, an enormous property. Its construction was later than that of that of its neighbor and its design was definitely Jugendstil-influenced.

"Its construction was later than that of that of its neighbor " does it mean it was constructed later than it neighbor.

make that 'literally translated'

Incidentally, this reads very much like translated, non-idiomatic English.

It was built later

Yes. It was built later and in a later style (Jugend stil is the northern form of Art Nouveau, more or less).
