Non-PRO English to German Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology) Data Storage

As simple as this term must be, it is nowhere to be found in the English-German glossary list. The closest I could come was Sicherungskopie, but this is hardly a verb.

Surely, there must be a standard industry term for this very common task. The last time I was in Germany the only people who used computers were scientists.

Once the verb is known, it should be easy to discover the corresponding adjective and noun -- namely, back-up.
