Russian term
разукомплектовать технику (специалистами)
Russian to English
Other
Military / Defense
War Strategy, Computer Game
Следует отметить, что в режиме кампании техника, попадающая под одну из этих категорий, через 1-2 боя удаляется из резерва, как непригодная к применению. Поэтому крайне важно ***разукомплектовать такую технику ценными военными специалистами***, т.к. вместе с техникой, по условиям игры, из резерва списываются и соответствующие экипажи.
Русский оригинала, конечно, оставляет желать лучшего.
Буду признателен за помощь в переводе всего фрагмента, отмеченного звездочками (т.е. глагол + сочетаемость).

delete the crews from this equipment
or from these weapons. Maybe "reassign" the crews, if, according to the rules of the game, you don't want to lose them.

reman
Note from asker:
Нет, к сожалению, не оно. Скорее unman. Речь о том, что солдат, т.е. этих самых ценных специалистов, нужно с техники удалить (и перевести в активное боевое подразделение) до того, как техника будет списана. В противном случае очки, набранные солдатами на старой технике, пропадут. |
Спасибо, Влад! |

to disband the equipment
As far as I understood it is the equipment that has to be "разукомплектованна"
5. should the organisation disband, any equipment or facilities purchased from financial support provided by South Ayrshire Council will revert to the Council. (http://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/community/grants.htm)

: Я не спец в этой области, но вот Лингво говорит, что "disband" это "распустить, расформировать", что не синоним слову "разукомлектовать".// В вашей ссылке говорится о расформировании организации. The link is irrelevant.

: I am not a specialit either, but the point is that it is "техника" and not a specialist that has to be"разукомплектованна" :) thanks for the correction anyway and...sorry if my opinion it was so painful.

Pды read carefully "Русский оригинал, конечно, оставляет желать лучшего". I did not say it is people who should be "разукомплектован". And by the way it is "разукомплектоваНа".

cannibalize
I only found a translation for this word in a glossary, and it gave "strip" and Kuznetsov's technical dictionary "tear down".
However, the latter means to disassemble for transport back to storage and re-use.
In a military context the word "cannibalize" is used - good parts are used on other, less-damaged equipment while badly-damaged parts are discarded.
That seems to me what the Russian is saying, even if it's a war game

Note from asker:
IMHO the Russian original says it is necessary to timely withdraw personnel from equipment, which is about to be deleted from the game (scrapped). Otherwise the points accrued to soldiers on tanks, boats, guns etc. will be lost forever. Thank for you comment Gary! |

: Sorry, but the source term here is used for 'free people from', or 'disassign' (? not sure if such word exists)// It is awkwardly worded and therefore confusing, sorry.

detach
Скорее всего так:
to detach highly qualified military experts from the units servicing the equipment (to other units).

Похоже, что в Вашем контексте "ценный персонал" имеет несколько другое значение. :) Тогда лучше "mission critical experts" или что-нибудь в таком роде.
