English to Swedish Other Slang
Can't really figure out what the phrase "went on the lam" exactly means? Suggestions?

Discussion

hirselina Mar 14, 2007:
Sorry but the form of the glossary entry is wrong "take the lam: ta till flykten, rymma ..." and the question was closed way too soon. "Take the lam" is a slang expression, whereas "ta till flykten" is not. There might be better alternatives.

English term (edited): take the lam

sjappa; ta till sjappen

Något föråldrad kåkfararslang. Borde passa okej.

"lade benen på ryggen"; "dunstande"; "sjappade"; "tog gröna linjen till Flen"...

etc.

Scusi, det ska vara "dunstade", inte "dunstande".
