Those are the words in a contract. I wonder what the most common translation is. ¿Arrendador y arrendatario? Should I keep it more literal and say "Propietario y residente"?

Estás en lo correcto, si es término legal entonces esa es la traducción. En los contratos de arrendamiento asi se les llama al propietario de la finca y al que la renta respectivamente. El vínculo tiene un ejemplo de un contrato de arrendamiento. Espero te sirva!

el Dueno y el arrendatario or el Propietario y arrendador
Si es un contrato legal de Administracion de Edificio de apartamentos para la renta yo diria el Dueno y el arrendatario.
No obstante creo que pudes usar cualquiera de las sugerencias que te dan. Yo no usaria locator y locatario porque me parecen muy regionales y no un sentido universal que cualquier hispanohablante pueda entender

Arrendatario... Que se me ha pegado el arrendador y he tenido que escribir esto dos veces...UFFF
