Ideal para servirla al plato, grillada o hervida, acompañada de guarnición.
Se trata de un tipo de salchicha. La sugerencia es servirla "al plato" es decir, no como sandwich.

En inglés no se estila decir "on a plate" a menos que se refiera a pasar algo de la olla a una fuente: "transfer to a serving plate". Cuando se dice "serve" se entiende que es "al plato" y no en sandwich.
Yo en este caso diría: "Ideal grilled or boiled, served with a side dish".
Paso el enlace de Delia Smith donde hay miles de recetas (inclusive de sandwiches) y en ninguna especifica que se sirve "on a plate"....

disagree dcanossa : on its own, significa que se sirve sola... no es lo mismo, se puede servir al plato acompañada con guarnición (a veces vienen en el mismo plato, otras no). pero no es este el sentido de "al plato"

ie, as opposed to being part of a sandwich.

The text goes on to explain that it's grilled or boiled and garnished, so it's not on its own

"servir al plato" es un tipo de presentación. "servir en un plato" es una acción, la de colocar la comida en el plato, "servir al plato" es la forma de presentación de la comida al llevarla a la mesa.

Google: Resultados 1 - 10 de aproximadamente 42,000 de "served on plate".

thanks carol. i'm starting to think it may be "american english", as i have seen this MANY times on menus in the states...
