Dear colleagues,

I'm editing a translation on sparkling wines, more precisely on Cava. The person who did the translation translated: un vino espumoso de calidad con vocación internacional: A quality sparkling wine with an international vocation.

I'm questioning the word vocation in this context. I would like to hear some suggestions for a word which in English represents vocation as something you are born with as oppsed to prestige, reputation, a name, etc which you acquire.
