French term

échelle (de transport)

French to English Marketing Transport / Transportation / Shipping Transport networks
"Echelles de transports ferroviaires (échelle régionale, nationale et internationale)".

This is the subject of a market research study. I was thinking of using 'network' but then 'échelle de réseau' comes later.

Any ideas of the difference between the two?

Many thanks,

Vicky

Thanks!!

scope of rail transport operations (regional, national or international)
Victoria Porter-Burns (asker) Mar 31, 2008:
I see, so how about "regionally-operated transport (services)"?
CMJ_Trans (X) Mar 31, 2008:
it's more a question of dimension - whether the rail transport service or operator works at regional, national or international level.... nothing to do with networks
