English term
pure players
English to Spanish
Other
Manufacturing
Hello Proz Community!
Today I am translating a company's description. In one of the descriptive sections, there is a classification of the company's main competitors:
"the profile of our competitors is the following: from local or family companies to international ones, from pure players to others fully integrated".
Does "pure" mean here "aimed at an only business/manufacturing stage (vs. integrated= comprising all business/manufacturing stages)? In that case, is such a term in Spanish as "empresa/actor pura/o"??
Thanks in advance.

or, depending on the context, "una empresa con una sóla línea de productos"
Pure play is a term that refers to business activities of a company. If a company is devoted to one line of business, and if success of that company depends on success of a single product, it is said that company is a pure player.

: I am sorry, but I don't think that this is the sense in this context. Edited later: Excuse me, I didn't see your other option. Obviously, I agree with it

Note from asker:
Sí, yo me olía que se trataba de esto, pero no sé si existe un término específico para definirlo en español. Tus referencias son muy interesantes. Muchas gracias. |
