What is Severe Service?

There is no strict definition of a severe service application but, for liquid services, it is assumed to have one or more of the following characteristics:

* Pressure drop of more than 50 bar (700psi)
* Flashing services P1 - P2 > 30 bar (435psi)
* Multi-phase P1 - P2 > 30 bar (435psi)
* Contaminated service.
