"Da un legame così stretto con la tradizione di coltivazione non poteva che nascere un legame altrettanto stretto con la cultura e la tradizione eno-gastronomica locale, che unisce semplici ricette della tradizione a **cartelloni e rassegne eno-gastronomiche** di valenza internazionale"
It's actually "cartelloni" that is causing me problems here.

I agree with Tom's interpretation of 'cartellone', as in this context it stands for 'programme' (as in 'cartellone teatrale') or 'agenda', rather than advertising.
Agree with Angela on the 'enogastronomiche' bit.
Perhaps you might consider using 'calendar of events' since the text only refers to radicchio-oriented f&w activities and their international appeal.
Cheers,
Barbara

When I say 'rather than advertising', I mean advertising tout-court, whereas here the ad is implicit (a list of activities amongst which one can choose their picks, as opposed to 'buy radicchio!'). That's why I'd go for a less direct wording...
That's my opinion, for what it is worth anyway...
Buona serata,
B.

Comment: "In retrospect I probably shouldn't even have included the "eno-gastrononmiche" in my question, as it wasn't the part that was causing me problems. However Angela's right to set the record straight (again) about the use of "false" English words, like "enogastronomic" in this case. Cartelloni, according to the agency, simply refers to a calender of events, as Tom suggested and Barbara pinpointed. Thanks to all!"

you might also just say "enogastronomic p.o.p. material" whereby pop stands for "point of purchase", also referred to as p.o.s. for "point of sale".

When I queried OED and Webster for enogastronomics and its variants, the results were zero.
This same search was done just a couple of weeks ago, but I prefer to be prepared if I have to disagree with a respected colleague and I think most of us would like to be afforded the same respect on this site.
