German term

GTV

German to English Tech/Engineering Food & Drink
Beim letzten GTV hat sich gezeigt, dass dieser Ansatz möglich sein müsste.

This "Ansatz" refers to the pre-frying of cheese, which would be beneficial for the holding time in a UHC (universal holding cabinet)

Can't seem to find what this stands for, whether originally a German or English abbreviation. Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

Answer following enquiry It turns out this means "großtechnischer Versuch" here. Thanks for your help!
Steffen Walter Apr 6, 2009:
In-house abbreviation? This is most probably an internal abbreviation/acronym used by the company this text is about. I'd therefore strongly suggest to ask the customer for clarification.

Beim letzten generellen Testverfahren hat sich gezeigt, dass dieser Ansatz des Käsevorbratens, zwecks günstiger Haltbarkeit im Universalbetriebskabinett, möglich sein müsste.

neutral Steffen Walter : Highly unlikely - there's hardly any reference for this term. On a related note, how would you define a "generelles Testverfahren" (this is not an established scientific term)?
