uphill pouring
uphill teeming is the term for molten metal. Pouring is perhaps a better term for concrete.

Incidentally, uphill teeming was introduced to reduce the amount of air trapped in the metal and hence give better rolling properties. Granted it is not often that concrete is rolled after casting.

upside-down casting
Not a lot of ghits for the French expression, but those there are are for things like window sills and stairs which will have belle face, something best obtained against the mould, rather than at the open top surface.
Quite a few ghits for "upside-down casting" which refer to the greater quality of the concrete face cast against the bottom of the mould.
UPSIDE-DOWN CASTING also increases the density of the concrete wearing surface. Such casting is only practical with a steel structure. ...

reverse drum mixing
Hello,
This is my understanding.
Reversing drum mixer:
Rotate in one direction for mixing and in the reverse direction for discharge as shown in Figure 4. One set of blades exists for each operation. Provide efficient mixing with very little build up within the mixer. Are suitable with dry concrete mixes.
I hope this helps.

: Coulage is pouring or casting, not mixing.// Reverse drum mixing is of more interest to the concrete mixing person or enterprise than it is to the construction works client. Nothing really to do with "coulage à envers".

I suppose the mixing process and dispension of concrete cannot be viewed independently. It's this type of mixing process which leads to "coulage à l'envers."

: Very easy to translate if you think about it. I just didn't see any ghits (no expert in the field), and thought it was something more complicate. But who couldn't have though of "upside-down casting"? LOL
