I'm translating SOPs for a lab. I know 'punktudsug' has something to do with (process) ventilation but haven't been able to find a translation for it.
Punktudsug: Det er vigtigt, at punktudsug med spjæld lukkes, når de ikke er i brug. Da vi har mange punktudsug, bruger de en betragtelig mængde luft.
Is it just simply a ventilation point or is there a specific name. Thanks in advance for any help.

spot extraction
"Spot extraction" seems a fairly common term (1,560 hits)and it seems to me reasonable to speak of a "spot extraction point" in this context.
