Idiomatic Expressions
Hi,
It's in my Hindi textbook but no explanation is given.
मुझे हिन्दी आती है literally means "Hindi is coming to me", so I think it must be an idiomatic expression.
Many thanks
Simon

Please look at my last comment. In any case, that is the usual meaning in a colloquial sense.

I can speak Hindi / I know how to speak Hindi
The verb आना (to come) is usually used to mean that somebody can do something: the structure is-
(somebody)-को (something) आता है/आती है [masculine or feminine verb according to the gender of the (something).
For example: मुझे तैरना आता है (mujhe tairnaa aataa hai) - I can swim.
I hope this would answer your question.
