This is one of the options from Robb's Diccionario para Ingenieros, and the only one that may apply to your context. It specifies (Col.) 'splay of a window jamb' is another option offered, but I don't think it fits here.

However, I still don't know what this is, so I am unsure! Hope it gets you on the right path.
