Yes. It means the same bell. In high schools this is called: زنگ تفریح sometimes ساعت تفریح

In universities: ساعت استراحت

Many thanks, very interesting. May I please just ask: does زنگ mean 'bell'? In that case زنگ تفریح would seem to indicate the signal for the break rather than the break itself. But perhaps I misunderstand...
