Pracuję nad tekstem o bezpieczeństwie informacyjnym firmy.
Mam w tekście dwa bardzo podobne pojęcia - retention of information (retention period) i filing of information. Początkowo zacząłem tłumaczyć oba jako wymienne jako przechowywanie, ale później okazało się w podanym niżej fragmencie że należy wprowadzić ściślejsze rozróżnienie. Czy ktoś ma jakieś sugestie? Dzięki z góry.

Together, the answers to the above questions (i – iv) in the risk analysis will indicate a retention period (for filing + archiving). The minimum retention period ultimately applying will be the longest of these four. The owner of the information may decide, however, to specify a longer retention period (costs/benefits to be taken into account). The retention period determined in this way will be specified in the information inventory and can, if ecessary, be divided into a retention period for filing and a subsequent retention period for archiving.
