Spanish term

orina colúrica

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care urinalysis
This is from an article about medication-induced liver toxicity. The case report reads:

"Varón de 15 años ... presentando en la última semana ictericia de piel ... y *orina colúrica*.

I find the word "choluric" online (less than 1,000 instances), but I don't find it in my Taber's medical dictionary, so I am asking whether there is another standard and more frequently used term for this in English.

Thanks for your help :)

choluria

Choluric is a term to describe someone with an unpleasant personality. It's a leftover from the days when medicine was defined by the four humors.

Bile in the urine is referred to as choluria.

Note from asker:
HI Rita. Thanks also for your suggestion. It sounds like "choluria" is a valid term, and more specific in this case.
Peer comment(s):

agree Otto Albers (X) : The translation is "choluria" not "dark urine", because the term exists in English. The explanation is complete, adequate and well documented..
