Swedish term

klättring

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
I am translating a manual user of a debarking machine. I am having difficulties with the word "klätting" either used as "uppklättring" or "avklättring".
Examples:

"Det hörn av plattan som är det sista hörnet av uppkättringskanten"
"med en utformning med avstyrning för att ge en skonsammare avklättring"

climbing

This is more or less what happens as the barking blade rises from the log or trunk, instead of cutting away the bark.
Note that although sometimes used, 'debarking' is not a correct word. It should be 'barking'.
The same applies to 'delimbing' and 'limbing'. You will 'limb' in this sense in a comprehensive English dictionary.

Swedish term (edited): uppklättring/avklättring

ascension/descent

These may perhaps also work.

No, mounting/dismounting are probably better terms

It should be "ascent", not "ascension"
