French term

PUCAPAB

French to English Other Government / Politics Canadian
Does anyone know how to possibly translate this one word into an English equivalent?

It is used in Québec politics as a slogan. I am translating a document where it is mostly used as a heading although it does appear in this one phrase:

"Ignatieff prend le relais de PUCAPAB"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Could this possibly be Québécois for pourquoi pas? To all of you Québécois out there: Could this possibly be Québécois for the French term "pourquoi pas"?

What does the slogan mean in plain English? do you know? have you Googled the term to see how it is used in websites?

Plus capable

Québecois for "plus capable", meaning: "that is enough", "I have had it", "can't stand it any more"

I've no idea what your expression is supposed to mean or who Ignatieff is, but this - No Can Do - might be applicable in CANada.

Canadian cousins of mine were posting some expression with CAN (for Canada) in it on Facebook around the time of the Cancun talks ... AH, found it. it's about "WE CANada" - for "We can do it" - in relation to the 1012 Earth Summit.

WE CANada is a nation-wide initiative that brings the diversity of Canadian voices to the Earth Summit 2012, and to the attention of our government. ...

Don't know how well it would go down with Quebeckers however ...
