préparations assistées par guidage

French to English Medical Medical: Dentistry
I am translating a document relating to CADCAM dentistry particularly a procedure called "préparations assistées par guidage".
As far as I can tell this involves performing dental reductons with the use of a special guide.

However, I can't seem to find an English translation of "préparations assistées par guidage". Google has a handful of examples of "Preparations Assisted by Guides" but this seems like a poor translation to me.

My best guess is "guide-aided preparations" but I can't seem to find any other examples of this usage.

Mar 3, 2011 18:58: Helen Genevier changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): SJLD, Sandra & Kenneth Grossman, Helen Genevier

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

"Same day teeth" this is a concept to provide a fixed bridge at the same time when the Implants are placed. The fixed bridge can be the final restoration or a
temporary restoration. The concept is based on the use of "computer guided surgery" where the position of the Implants is pre operative determind by placing
"virtual" implants on a reformatted 3 -scan (Simplant) and can be recalled on a modell to enable the dental technician to manufature a temporary fixed Bridge
prior to the surgery appointment. The surgeon will then place the Implants according to the surgical guide and fix the bridge straight afterwards.
The temporary fixed Bridge is ideal in full arch restorations. It will shorten the time of the procedure for the Patient.
Atlantic Dental is able to offer a wide range of Treatments: Dental Implants and associated work like Sinuslifts, Bone Augmentation and Block Grafts. Many Patients want to explore options to replace missing teeth. We often diagnose moderate or severe Bone loss due to prevoius extractions. The jaw bone will "shrink" after the removal of a tooth. Ill fitting dentures will speed up the process of bone destruction. In such cases the placement of dental Implants is often impossible or shows a decreased success rate. The Regeneration or Augmentation of lost Bone is possible. Sinuslifts will enable the surgeon to place an implant in the upper molar area in cases of severe Bone loss. The procedure is explained here. How long can Implants last? Evidence shows that Implants can last for life or at least 30years. Crowns and Bridges on top of the implants however will need replacement after 10-15 years. Dental Material: Crowns and Bridges are made of Metall foundation covered with Porcellain. The Technology is the most common. However, the use of Full ceramic Materials: Zirkonia, Empress, Inceram. Lave and Nobel Procera Crowns is increasing. Especially for Frontcrowns the use of Full ceramic crowns can deliver brilliant aesthetic results. Feldspathic (Conventional) Veneers deliver the best results for "Smile Makeover" However , a combination of orthodontic correction and veneers can reduce the amount of tooth preparation needed.
