È nata sotto il segno del tormento e la data in cui è iniziata ad andare fuori mondo se la ricorda bene: aveva sette anni ed era affacciata al davanzale della vicina quando aveva visto il suo fratellino,
I am not sure how to render andare fuori mondo.

Just another way of looking at it.

23 min
to leave this/her world
low confidence level because I don't know what the book is about!
2 ore
the day she first set foot into her other world...
I think by saying "HER other world", it makes it personal to her, which is the sense I get from the Italian. "outside of the world" or something literal on those lines, sets a different nuance in the English than I think the Italian is trying to imply.
"She remembers the day she first set foot into her other world very well..."
"She remembers the day she first set foot into her other world very well..."
3 ore
drift away from the immediate reality / go beyond the physical world
far out, baby, like, you know, get them the vibes, see weird stuff, like woa, if you know what I mean, sompthin' like thah, reeeghit?
5 ore
to lose touch with reality / perceive another world
Both solutions can work: the first one points out the detachment from actual reality, while the second one emphazises her entering a different dimension
