In the phrase "bahan baku rokok kretek yaitu tembakau, klobot (daun jagung) dan jinggo/ benang" am I correct in assuming that 'jinggo' is 'cengkeh' or 'jus cengkeh'? If not, what is the meaning in the context of ingredients in handmade kreteks?

jinggo (Javanese) or jingga (Indonesian) is orange in English.
In making "klobot" cigarettes, threads are needed to tie corn leaves ("klobot") while threads are orange in colour.

Note from asker:
Of course! I was focusing on cloves and overlooked the obvious. BTW, when Nitisemito first 'branded' his kreteks, he called them 'Djeruk'. It proves that it take two pairs of eyes to see! Thank you so much. |
