English term
till vs. register
English to Polish
Bus/Financial
Retail
Point-of-Sale retail system
Translation of a retail Point-of-Sale system - Oracle Retail POS Suite. TILL and REGISTER are two different things in the system.
Examples:
No till operations can be performed until the register and a till are opened.
The cashier has a till already assigned in this register.
There is no further context as the translation consists only of separate commands/parameters.
Pls advise what are the Polish equivalents for these two terms as term KASA for both of them seems to be not suitable.
HINT: I found this on the net: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12522_01/pos_suite/pdf/1...
But it is not of much help to me, I am looking for a real pro advice.

till
n
(Business / Commerce) a box, case, or drawer into which the money taken from customers is put, now usually part of a cash register
I suggest "szuflada kasowa" for a till and "kasa" for a register

Note from asker:
Skłaniam się ku tej odpowiedzi, ale rodzi ona kolejne pytanie. W tekście mam zdania takie jak np.: 'The cashier does not have a till assigned in this register.' Pytanie: czy kasa może mieć kilka szuflad kasowych, każdą dla innego pracownika? |
