This is from a Nicaraguan Act:
Arto. 4.- El Recurso de Exhibición Personal procede en favor de aquellas personas cuya libertad, integridad física y seguridad sean violadas o estén en peligro de serlo por:
1) Cualquier funcionario, autoridad, entidad o institución estatal, autónoma o no.
2) Por actos restrictivos de la libertad personal de cualquier habitante de la República realizado por particulares.
Anyone know if there is an English equivalent for this? I have seen "Remedy of Personal Exhibition" but it appears very few times.

guarantee of protection of an individual's constitutional rights
There is no English equivalent of this since it does not exist in anglo-saxon (UK and US) law. However, this is effectively what it is, a law under which legal and constitutional rights are guaranteed, and hence any citizen who feels their rights have been infringed can bring legal action against any public body responsible for this infringement.
