-Podrán participar semanalmente en la promoción todas las personas físicas mayores de 18 años que posean un soporte de participación (resguardos o décimos) de cualquiera de los juegos que gestiona Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, y que hayan participado en los sorteos o *jornadas* que se celebren en las semanas que dure la promoción, considerando que la semana comienza el lunes y que concluye el domingo.

-La promoción comenzará con los resguardos y décimos que participen en los sorteos o *jornadas* que celebre Loterías y Apuestas del Estado en la semana 28 del año.

I don't think we are talking about "days" here. Any other suggestions?

Yes, phase is a possibility. It could refer to scratchcard competitions rather than ticket draws, but I'm not sure.

One of the synonyms for "jornada" is "etapa" since these jornadas are numbered (i.e. jornada 48) could we say phase 48...just a thought

In the text they refer to "los sorteos o jornadas" which makes me think that "jornadas" is being used here as another word for "sorteos"

If this is the case then "draws" should be used to replace the whole phrase "los sorteos o jornadas"

Given the fact that this is the "Quiniela", the football/soccer pools, I think it suits all the instances//Obviously not my job to deal with secondary re-phrasing issues, and although the season does not last 48 weeks there is a Quiniela for 48 weeks.
agree patinba : Those in doubt should Google La Quiniela, to see the pools form and confirm this is exactly right. In the cases of uses 2 & 3 apparently you keep evidence of your bet to participate in some form of promotion, so it still fits.
