هناك طرق أخرى.. وليست موجودة في القضاء الأمريكي. فيُقال: "حكم وجاهي اعتباري" أو "حكم بمثابة الوجاهي" ويعتمد هذا الحكم على ما إذا حضر المشتكى عليه جلسات المحاكمة أم تغيب عن إحداها. ولكل نوع من هذه الأحكام أثرها القانوني الخاص. ولا نملك في الانجليزية إلا أن نقول لكليهما:

وجاهي : إذا صدر الحكم بحضوره, أو صدر الحكم وتم تبليغه بشكل أصولي

Discussion
I don't think "Contumacy" is حكم غيابي.
Per "West's Encyclopedia of American Law", Contumacy is defined as:
Willful disobedience. The intentional failure of an individual to obey a summons to appear in court to defend against a charge or to obey an order rendered by the court.
Contumacy is a sufficient basis for finding an individual in contempt of court.
