In fact.. Does anyone know if/agree that this could be head and neck tumour? I've just found head and neck cancer, which can lead to a gastrostomy apparently. I'd be grateful for confirmation/disagreement! Helen :)

Just thought.. I imagine 'tum' stands for 'tumour'; it's the HoN part I really don't know at the moment. Helen

I was just about to suggest this, when I now found that your own thougts had gone in the same direction. In the reference below you will find a list of the most common reasons for gastrostomy tube placement, which among others give "tumors of the head, neck, or esophagus resulting in an abnormality in swallowing"
