Wadensjö’s distinction between displaying which “seeks to alert the audience to the enacting self and the particular way the original is being represented” and replaying in which translators “re-enact it in such a way as to minimize any distance between the figure they are voicing and their own speaking selves.” Displaying which “holds the translated discourse up for inspection as having been rendered in a certain manner” is in contrast with replaying which “invites the translator’s voice to be subsumed under that of the original speaker”.

Please note that re-enact is in opposition with enactment.
