A headline in a thermodynamics textbook: 'Druckverlust im durchströmten Rohr'
Durchströmen means flow through, of course, yet it doesn't work well (if at all) in a passive construction along the lines of a tube flowed through. I just found a good translation for umströmt as in a flow field, that's the kind of thing I'm looking for...

I think I would simply call it 'pressure drop in pipes' (no flow, no pressure drop), or as given above, see reference below.

If you just say “pressure drop in a pipe”, nobody will assume that the drop will occur in an empty pipe, right? IMHO it is implied that a fluid is being moved through the pipe.
