To stand out from others/To stand out of the rest/crowd

I believe the suggested translation is self-explanatory. However, I would like to share that, if exact context had been provided, it would have been very helpful to comprehend the precise meaning. It is because, depending upon the context, 'single out' can also be used (though in a very few cases).
Example sentence:

A sharp mind and a sensitive heart WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT FROM OTHERS (alternatively, WILL SINGLE YOU OUT). 2) In order to stand out from others, you need to have both a sharp mind and a sensitive heart.

Peer comment(s):

disagree Irshad Muhammad : The suggested translation is very vague, I am afraid. To stand out from others may mean that someone is no-cooperative with others. However, “Mumtaz karna” is absolutely and clearly a positive thing.

Jazak ALLAH for your comment.It is, however, totally based on subjective and personal opinion, & is not based on any reference or logic.'To stand out...' does not mean being non-cooperative.2ndly,the question is clearly not about cooperation/noncooperatio

To set apart; to distinguish; to compare favorably (against others)

Context would really have helped. "To set apart" is what I'd recommend, in absence of a context.
Peer comment(s):

agree Irshad Muhammad : I would pick "to distinguish' as best choice
