La Colle est l'équipe ou l'ensemble des vendangeurs composé la plupart du temps de :8 coupeurs ou coupeuses (Copaidas) menées par (una ménaida) une meneuse qui était chargée d'être toujours devant pour stimuler la cadence, parfois lorsqu'elle se trouvait trop en avant elle recevait dans le dos une grappe de raisin lancée par une main inconnue à fin de calmer un excès de zèle, car parfois des vendangeuses aidaient les retardataires, la plupart des jeunes, parfois des enfants qui commençait à couper à l'âge de 8 ans, certains étaient également punis de la même façon quand, après avoir bénéficié d'un ou deux «dimanches» (c'est-à-dire de tous jeunes plants qui donnaient peu de raisins) se retrouvaient par inadvertance en avant de la «colle».

everyone starts a row of vines at same time and hopefully finishes the row around the same time. But the Algerian pickers were always finished way ahead of me! (So they got to have a break before starting the next row)

Thanks Bertrand. Yeah, did 3 vendanges. It's such back-breaking work! Though the wine is a recompense, at the end of each row and each day!
