sala (hospital ward)
it refers to the ECG reading that was taken whilst patient is "en planta".....en Spain the planta is the "floor".....when I lived in England, the hospitals had wards, at least where I live......thus, planta de cardiología, would be heart patients, all on the same floor level of the hospital, each floor would "house" similar types of patients.....
"hospital ward" in itself would be "sala" which is pretty general

sorry, I hit "enter" too soon
In this case, I immagine the patient was examined, first "en planta", i.e. in his "hospital bed", and for whatever reason taken to another area of the hospital to continue with further examinations or treatment - possibly emergency area or surgery......"ECG en planta" is just a sort of indication of when the reading was taken, i.e. when he was still in his hospital bed....
hope this helps even if the term is not the most correct

: In many hospitals in Spain they have floors rather than wards. Planta refers to the area the patient is in - ie the ward.
