English term

taking sense

English to French Other Religion
context
Was it the overwhelming violence of a Big Bang that produced the universe and nudged the development of life? Or is this ancient holy book right commencing with the simple words: "In the beginning God created the heavens and earth"?
Evolution or creation - two paradigms in stark contrast, with far-reaching consequences for humanity.
This event is a clear plea that man is not a random caprice of nature, but bears the ingenious hallmarks of a loving Creator. It is time for another enlightenment: one that makes sense instead of taking it; one that does not shut God away from us but brings Him close.

Tony M Nov 3, 2013:
@ Peter I think it's unlikely, in view of the deliberate symmetry introduced by the rhyme 'making / taking'; so much so, that they've really had to shoe-horn the meaning to fit the rhyme; I don't think they'd have gone to that trouble if there were no rhyme, and in addition 'making' and 'talking' sense amount to pretty much the SAME thing, whereas here they are being OPPOSED.
Peter LEGUIE Nov 2, 2013:
Could "taking" possibly be a typo for "talking" sense?

obscurcir
