Discussion

Neil Ashby Nov 2, 2013:
It seems strange to use the full name apart from for synthesis purposes one wouldn't normally use such a fully descriptive (and long) name (the user of the product doesn't need to synethise this compound, just know that it is a biocide and how to find information about it and the hazards it supposes, the easiest way usually being to use a common or trade name), one would normally expect a more common name to be used such as "quaternary silsesquioxane" > "Silsesquioxano cuaternaria" (needs work).
Although Sigma_aldrich produce and sell this product to the Spanish market they don't translate its name on their MSDS (http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/MSDS/MSDS/DisplayMSDSPage.do?cou... and use the abbreviation DMOAP (http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/search?interface=CAS No....
Just my thoughts - I'm sure certain ppl will disagree out of hab

It seems to have two CAS components.
Peer comment(s):

agree Neil Ashby : I'm with you Donal - in this case the full name is not required, what is required is easy access to hazard information about the product. The easiest way of finding such info is through a trade name or a common name, such as your e.g. or Dow Corning 5700

Thanks Neil - the full name seemed like overkill to me. Translators are allowed to make choices.
