Finance (général)
investment and risk-allocation rules
The document is the internal document of a French bank, describing, commenting and interpreting the rules for asset allocation and risk allocation of investments in what I have for the time being loosely termed "a general-purpose investment fund"
The general headings of the document are:
"Fonds d'investissement à vocation generale (FIVG)
Règles de composition de l'actif et règles de division des risques"
Could these be "non-coordinated general [or general-purpose] UCITS"?
The objection to this is that these FIVG vehicles are distinguished from UCITS in the text:
"Le niveau de la protection garantie aux porteurs est équivalent à celui prévu pour les porteurs d'OPCVM (et non FIVG)."
I shall also be submitting a separate query for FPVG.
I should state the for neither of these items, I have found no cogent hits in Google, AltaVista, Linguee, Reverso, WordReference, or even, for that matter, IATE or the AMF website.
I shall be interested to receive your comments, and grateful for your help.
With kind regards,
Adam Warren (IanDhu - 41189)

Comment: "Thank you, both Conor and Amaury. Conor's contribution reflects the AMF official terminology. Amaury's is interesting from a Canadian perspective."

General Funds
Or General Purpose Investment Funds. My source is a Canadian fund for which I work regularly, and both seem to be currently used.

The AMF has the English equivalent as in the title. I am indebted to Conor McAuley in another post for this lead.
