Romanian term

pe lângă dulceața de câteva secunde a momentului

Romanian to English Art/Literary Religion
Trebuie aduse foarte multe argumente şi trebuie insistat pe psihologia bărbatului și a femeii în acest domeniu și trebuie spus că desfrânarea le aduce multă suferință atât pe termen scurt cât și pe termen lung, pe lângă dulceața de câteva secunde a momentului.

as well as the(that) sweetness of a few seconds in time

"A few seconds in time" is how we would commonly express this idea in England.

It can be used to describe literally just a few seconds (as in my first example), or it can take on a more figurative use suggesting a short time within your life that actually lasted perhaps several weeks, months or years (my second example).

You could also use "FOR a few seconds in time."

"And isn’t it funny how well a photographer can capture THOSE FEW SECONDS IN TIME when things are just picture-perfect?"

I think another, perhaps better way, to phrase this could be:

"As well as a few sweet seconds in time."

"He cupped her face and looked into her eyes. His eyes were speaking of desire, longing and love. He leaned closer so he could kiss her forehead. IT LASTED FOR A FEW SWEET SECONDS, then he looked at her face again."

Or you could try "blissful" or "bliss", which may be the more common UK term to use in this context anyway:

"I'm an open minded sort of guy. I take what I can get, male, female, blonde, brown, blue, I don't care, so long as it has the ability to MAKE ME HAPPY FOR A FEW BLISSFUL SECONDS IN TIME. At one point, that happy second came from Hilde, and it didn't work out. It also came from Heero--very secretly--in a way even Hee-bear probably doesn't realize. "

Example sentence:

"Round and round in circles I spun singing "I feel pretty, oh so pretty." FOR A FEW SECONDS IN TIME I was Maria from West Side Story, singing and dancing and beautiful."

"This is about the struggle to attain purity, integrity, wholeness FOR A FEW SECONDS IN TIME."
