Not sure what to call this in the context below, especially considering that where there's only one such paragraph it's not even numbered, but they are numbered when there are more than one. I'm considering calling them additional provisions, and in the first instance where it's not numbered (below article 9), "Sole Additional Provision". Or would "Sole Paragraph" or "Sole Subsection" be more fitting? Please bear in mind that the question specifically applies to the "Parágrafo" in "Artículo 9º".
Artículo 9º. Sistemas de compensación y liquidación.

Parágrafo. Para efectos de lo dispuesto en la presente ley...
[...]
Artículo 10. Principio de finalidad en las operaciones sobre valores.

yes, it does seem odd but the "sole" part distinguishes it from the numbered paragraphs. It seems to be particularly common in South American documents.
I've also seen "Paragraph ONE of ONE" or "Single sub-section" but think that more confusing

Hi Richard. glad to have helped. Not sure I'd use "provision" as I think it might bring in another element. I'd prefer Michael's "additional clause" but anyway, "sole paragraph" is widely used:-)
