I assume this is something like 'measurement of efficiency' but I was wondering if there might be a more precise term out there. The context is an employee satisfaction questionnaire from a multinational corporation:


Lamentablemente el sistema de medición de trabajo en España es discriminatorio, una de las zonas con mayor satisfacción de la clientela que es Aragon es discriminada por sistema de medición local para los tecnicos de servicio sin tener en cuenta los resultados reales , se toman datos subjetivos que nada tiene que ver con la realidad ni con la satisfacción de los clientes. La automotivación propia por la satisfacción al cliente es lo que mueve el buen resultado de la zona, los clientes están muy contentos con el servicio en la zona de Aragon, a pesar de no ser reconocido por el sistema de medición discriminatorio local de España.

labour surveying

This is not likely to be best if there is some alternative process which is very officially recognize as THE labour force survey, because people could mistake it for the other more official or standardized one.

But I think they are saying that the labour force surveying process, often used to allocate various forms of benefits, is discriminatory. Perhaps they only measure certain sectors and thus exclude marginalized groups who should be targeted by unemployment or other social security benefits.

It is also possible that they are referring to the situation at the counter, more so than the data (but it does seem fairly clear that the data is the main part of the story), in which case the discrimination resulting from the "medición de trabajo" could be due to some subjective process at the local level. This wouldn't normally seem quite on the mark, if it weren't for the fact that they mention the satisfaction of local users of the local system, which to me makes me think of service delivery and front line personnel rather than statistical systems used to reach target populations. In this second case it could be something more like the evaluation process ... maybe these front line personnel often require additional information more regularly from people who aren't the right kind of people, or something.
