Depending on your context, i.e. how this is being installed, it can also be "pressing (pushing) too hard", "forcing into place"

Natalia, in that case you may want to say "breakage" instead of "damage", however glass can be scratched but not broken, and "damage" covers all of it.

Thank you, Ella. Unfortunately it is not said in this text how the protector should be installed but I can ask the client about it. All I know is that the protector is made of glass. (If it matters).
