Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hi,

I am translating a newspaper article from Spanish to British English about a High Court rejecting a workforce reduction plan because it believed that the company was not negotiating in good faith in the consultation period. Below is the full sentence in which the phrase appears. It is an extract from the Court's ruling in which the Court explains why it believes that the company was not displaying good faith in its negotiations:

I've currently got "...offers which may have been made must simply be accepted, where relevant,...", but I'm not sure about it at all. Could someone provide me with a better answer please? Thanks in advance.

not because the offers which could have been made should be accepted and nothing more

The company was demonstrating an attitude of using any means to arrive at any agreement 'not because...', but because it never offered any counteroffer ...
