English term

DOB, DOR, DOA

English to Spanish Other Education / Pedagogy
Hola!

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Phoenix III

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Jaime Blank Feb 11, 2015:
Is DOR 9 days after DOA? If so it can be "Date of Ratification", if the opposite then most probably it's "Date of Request"
Phoenix III Feb 10, 2015:
@ Asker You are asking three questions at the same time and according to KudoZ rules you should really post them separately so each term can be properly entered into the Glossary.
Taña Dalglish Feb 10, 2015:
Oops, you are right. I was going off "dirección" not realizing that there is a date!
Carolina316 (asker) Feb 10, 2015:
I think district of residence would not be possible because there is a date next to it. But thanks anyway!! I think date of registration could be the one.
George Rabel Feb 10, 2015:
DOR: Date of Registration AP: Another Possibility
Carolina316 (asker) Feb 10, 2015:
I think DOA could be Date of assessment and DOR I have no idea. Between DOA and DOR there are 9 days.
DLyons Feb 10, 2015:
Date of Birth, Date of?, Date of ? What does your own research suggest?

Fecha de nacimiento

DOB se usa muy comúnmente en lugar de Date Of Birth.
DOR y DOA no se me ocurre qué pueden ser.
Suerte.

Y DOR podría ser fecha de solicitud (Date Of Request).
