A. The Sexual Offences Act 2003 is also Introducing New Civil Preventative Orders

1. Notification Orders • This is a new order which can be made, on application by a chief officer of police, in respect of individuals who have been convicted abroad of sexual offences equivalent to the sexual offences listed in Schedule 3 of the 2003 Act. • The effect of the order is to make such offenders subject to the notification requirements of the 2003 Act as if they had been convicted in the UK of a relevant offence.
