De acuerdo con el INPEC, en el 2014 se registraron 117.037 personas privadas de la libertad, 108.845 hombres (93%) y 8.192 mujeres (7%), de las cuales 35,6% SON SINDICADAS (SIN SENTENCIA). Según el censo del mismo año, la población LGBTI es de 815 personas, es decir, 0.7% frente a la población total. Sin embargo, es evidente que el censo tiene un nivel alto de sub-registro por las falencias de información y ausencia de metodología del INPEC para realizar el censo
