Necesito ayuda con esta parte. Es el informe de una RNM de rodilla: "Se observa una lesión en la fascia crural en contacto con el nervio peróneo común que no está engrosado. Como alternativa sugiero efectuar una neurosonografìa del nervio peróneo común, aunque no hay aumento de la señal de los músculos del compartimiento externo".

There are three compartments of the knee in English, lateral, medial, and patellofemoral.

The lateral is that which is on the "outside" of the knee, i.e. the right side of the right knee, left side of the left knee.

This seems to make the most sense as the "external" compartment

"external" is not one of the medical terms used for the three standard names for compartments of the knee
