A governor for steam engines is a device that keeps the speed of the engine constant under varying loads. I assume it is the same for gas engines. Since you mention rebuilding a gas engine; it could be a very old gas engine and thus some of the technology from steam could have ventured over to internal combustion as well.

the site opens to the English version with images in the allocation table and when you click on DE you have the German version with the same images in the same allocation table which renders "actuator" simply as "Aktuator" but "governor" as "kombinierter Drehzahlregler"

in Danish "actuator" appears to be simply transliterated as "aktuator" but "governor" could be "hastighedsregulator" or some similar term

maybe the German term "kombinierter Drehzahlregler" might help you better to lock in on the equivalent Danish term
